I completed my formal training at WAAPA, with a Diploma of Performing Arts, majoring in Set and Costume Design, and I’ve always found  a great deal of satisfaction in designing and developing a design, from the conceptual stage, through to the implementation stage. For me, doing my own scenic art for my theatrical designs has been a wonderful opportunity to express myself creatively, as well as to work collaboratively with an artistic team. My years of scenic art have undoubtedly shaped the way I paint, and, in turn, my painting style has impacted on the way I design. Most importantly, as a result, my designs always have a very “painterly” style and execution.
